Arbeiten hinter der Kamera / Behind the Camera work

Da war ich also, im Riverview Hospital, als PA Loc, Personal Assistentin Lokation.
Was ich bis dato noch nicht wusste, dass hinter der Kamera arbeiten
teilweise langweiliger ist, als vor der Kamera zu stehen... und wenn
schon jeder nach Hause gegangen ist, bist du immernoch
vor Ort und räumst auf...
Vielleicht sollte ich noch erwähnen, dass der Film, bei dem ich mitgeholfen habe "Grave Encounters II" ist.

My first day as a PA Loc, Personal Assistance Location at Riverview Hospital. 

I didn't know before, that working behind the camera can be even more

 boring than working infront of the camera... let's just say that you

will still be on loc when everyone is cozy at home, because you 

have to clean up after everybody.

The movie is called "Grave Encounters II" btw.

Mir kam diese Treppe vom ersten Moment an bekannt vor, euch auch??? Toller Film ;o)
I jumped up and down (inside...) when I saw the stairs!!! And I had to climb them quiet often ;oP

Noch bei schönem Sonnenschein. Lustigerweise wurde ich von jedem gewarnt, dass es wenn es dunkel wird anscheinend gruselig werden würde... dass es in dem Krankenhausteil spukt (haha) und dass manche Mädels angst haben alleine rumzulaufen... Meine Antwort: "Es gibt keine Gespenster!"


The crew warned me about the Hospital being haunted... hahaha... some of the girls were affraid to walk alone... My answer: "there ain't no ghosts!"

Ich hatte viel Spaß das Krankenhaus auf eigene Faust zu erforschen... hatte ja genügend Pausen....

You can imagine how much fun it was to explore the hospital!!!!

PA Carmen has to make sure that no non-Crew person walks into the hospital...

PA Carmen muss draußen aufpassen, dass kein ungebetener Gast aufs Set spaziert.

Nachdem ich, ganz Deutsch natürlich, dem Kostümdesigner geholfen hatte ein blaues Shirt zu halten, hat der gute Mann mich doch tatsächlich angesprüht... zum Glück ist die Farbe nach ein bisschen schrubben wieder verschwunden....

Being the nice German I am, I offered to help the costum designer holding a blue shirt while he was painting it. Unfortunately the shirt wasn't the only thing he painted...

Der Kinderkrankenhausflügel. Netterweise haben wir bei der Gestaltung des Sets den Dekorierleuten geholfen... d.h. wir haben gemalt...

In one of our breaks we were asked by the deco Dep to help painting the kids area for one of the shoots.

Das Arbeitszimmer des Direktors... auch hier haben wir dem DekoTeam geholfen.

 The directors office... we helped the DecoDep again.

Hier wäre ich ja beinahe ausgeflippt!!!! Das Riverview Krankenhaus wurde wirklich oft als Set verwendet!!!!! Wie genial!

Leider konnte ich kein Foto bei Tageslicht machen, da wir als ich dieses Set erspäht hatte gerade auf dem Weg zum Kinderflügel waren... Da ich mich zu dem Zeitpunkt noch nicht so gut im Krankenhaus auskannte, musste ich meine Hirnzellen ganz schön anstrengen, damit ich diese Zimmer wieder finden konnte... zudem wurde es natürlich auch irgendwann mal dunkel. Natürlich befand sich dieses Zimme genau in dem Teil des Krankenhauses, welches nach Sonnenuntergang nichtmehr mit Licht versorgt wurde... also musste ich im Dunkeln, mit Hilfe meines Blitzlichtes meines Handys auf Suche gehen... was lustig ;o)))))

I was going crazy when I saw this room!!!! And now that I search for the episodes they used it in I am realizing HOW OFTEN XF was shooting on loc at the Riverview Hospital!!! genius!

Finding this room was an adventure by itselve... when I saw the room for the first time I didn't have time to take any pics, because we had to decorate the kids area... after that I had to think hard to remember where the "Green Room" was... by the time I had enough time to search for it, it was dark. This particular floor the room was on, didn't have any electricity, off course, So I walked around in the dark ('I can't see, I can't see) and had to use my cameras flash to have any light... Anyway, I found the room and took pics ;o)))))))

Radln / biking in Stanley Park

Ein wunderschöner sonniger Tag in Vancouver, diesen mussten wir 

einfach ausnutzen! Also auf ins Stadtzentrum, Fahräder mieten 

und einmal um Stanley Park herumfahren. Einfach herrlich!!!

This Sunday was one of the most beautiful sunshine days in Vancouver so far. 

We just HAD TO rent bikes and bike Stanley Park. BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
