Auf den Spuren der Filmcrew von MOBY DICK (2010) ... On the MOBY DICKs filmcrew trail

Die Küste zwischen Halifax, Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg und Shelburne wird oft als Drehort für Filme und Serien benutzt. "Haven" ist eine der Serien, die seit 3 Jahren um Halifax gedreht wird. 2009 wurde in Lunenburd und Shelburne die Neuverfilmung des Klassikers "MOBY DICK" gedreht! Ich habe einige Drehorte wiedererkannt! (LINKS: So sah der Drehort im Film aus; RECHTS: so sieht die Umgebung normalerweise aus)

The coast between Halifax, Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg and Shelburn is often used as a film location, for example for the tv series "Haven" and the movie "MOBY DICK", which was filmed in 2009! I found some of the MOBY DICK filmlocations! (LEFT: what it looked like in the movie; RIGHT: what it looks like in real)

Chandlery & Marine Supplies, normalerweise ein Museum in Shelburne / usually a museum in Shelburne

Die Kirche/The Church; hoppla, da ist ja gar keine Kirche, diese wurde nämlich extra für den Film dort hingebaut. Woho, there is no church! They built it only for the movie.

Marktplatz & Dorfzentrum/Market & Downtown; auch hier wurde wieder einiges dazugebaut, was in Wirklichkeit nicht in Shelburne existiert. They had to create a different place again. Using one of Shelburnes oldes buildings.

Ich habe mich sehr nett mit einer Museumsangestellten unterhalten. Nach einer Weile habe ich sie nach MOBY DICK gefragt, und ob sie sich an die Dreharbeiten erinnern kann. Sie hat meine Frage bejaht und mir erzählt, dass sogar der Raum des oben abgebildeten Gebäudes als Pub hergenommen wurde.

I visited a museum in Shelburne and talked to one of the staff members. When I asked her about MOBY DICK, she was able to tell me, that they used the outside area to film and that they used the inside of the above building to create the Tavern/Pub.

Der Hafen / The harbor, hier wird das Schiff im Film gezeigt. This is the place, where the ship is located.

Diverse Drehorte / various set locations, wenn man nicht wüsste, dass der Film hier gedreht wurde, würde man den Ort nicht wiedererkennen. It's hard to recollect where they filmed MOBY DICK. Thanks to the pics and peoples reports this really is the place where everything happened.

Einen eintägigen Tagesausflug an der Atlantikküste entlang... herrlich!!! Die Landschaft -wenn diese Tannenwälder mal nicht die Sicht versperren- ist einfach Atemberaubend!!! Aber das Autofahren macht eindeutig in Deutschland mehr Spaß... 100Kmh auf der Autobahn... nicht schneller und auch keine Unbegrenzten Zonen... *gähn*

One day driving down the atlantic coast by car... let's say driving in Canada is boring, 100Kmh, really??? I am used to 120+Kmh, but anyways, the landscape is a dream, so here come my pictures:

Die berühmten 3 Kirchen in Bahone Bay... hab ich nicht supermäßiges Glück mit dem Wetter gehabt??? Strahlend blauer Himmel mit ein paar Wolken! Perkeft!

The famous three curches in Bahone Bay... look at the weather! It was beautiful... sunny and some clouds... perfect!

Die Drei Kirchen in Nahaufnahme... sagen wir es mal so, da man in einem Automatikwagen nicht viel schalten muss, konnte ich super gut Fotos schießen... ;oP

The three churches closeup... lets say that there is not a lot to do if you drive automatic -much difference from driving stick!- so I was able to take pictures while driving ;o)

Lunenburg!!!! Ein SUPER GENIAL SÜßES Städtchen!!! Sollte ich jeh reich werden und übermäßig viel Zeit haben, wäre dass der Ort, an dem ich mich niederlassen würde! Einfach toll, natürlich nur mit einem Haus mit Meerblick! ;o) selbstverständlich ^^ 

Lunenburg! Asuper duper sweet town! I loved it! If I ever get rich and famous and have a lot of spare time not knowing what to do, I will settle down here! But I need a house with ocean few, of course ^^

Zum Glück bin ich meinem Instinkt gefolgt und habe blind eine Ausfahr genommen und bin noch rechtzeitig zum Meer gekommen, bevor die Sonne untergegangen war. Das war einfach super!!!!!!!!! Ich seh mich schon in Vancouver lauter Sonnenunter- und -aufgänge fotographieren ;oP

Luckily I followed my guts with this one and was able to watch a beautiful sunset at the atlantic ocean! Beautiful!!!!!
I have the feeling that I will take millions of pics of sunsets and sunrises in Vancouver ;oP
