07.09.11 Ein Tag im Museum / A day at the Museum

Das MET Museum of Art ist östlich des Central Parks zu finden. Ein rießiges Museum, über dessen 2 Stockwerke sich eine Menge Kunst erstreckt.

You can find the MET Museum of Art at east Central Park. The art collection is spread upon 2 floors.

Genialerweise gibt es im Museum auch eine Musikinstrumenten Abteilung, die ich natürlich sofort aufgesucht habe... und ich bin fündig geworden!!!! Ein Tailändisches "Kim".

It's nice to know that there is a Music Instrument Collection next to all the paintings and arts. I was lucky enough to find some Hackbrett instruments, the taiwanese "Kim".

Aber das genialste Instrument, das ich gefunden habe, ist das barock italienische Salterio!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ich bin mind. 10 Minuten vor diesem wunderschönen Instrument gestanden und habe es begutachtet und mir genau angeschaut!!!!!

But the most beautiful instrument I found was the baroque italian "Salterio". Isn't she a beauty????? I couldn't get my eyes off her and took min. 10 Min. to get my geeking over ;o)

Danach gings zurück zum Hostel... durch den Central Park. Etwas nass wars dann doch... es hat den ganzen Tag leicht genießelt und getröpfelt.

After the visit at the MMA I went back to the Hostel, through Central Park, a wet Central Park... it was raining all day.

Tja, man sollte dann auch noch den Richtigen Weg einschlagen und nicht anstatt von rechts nach links, von oben nach unten gehen... und glaubt mir, es ist ziemlich einfach, ohne eine Karte, sich im Central Park zu verlaufen.

Instead of heading east to west, I got lost on Central Parks tracks and walked Uptown - Downtown... it's easy to get lost in Central Park without a map.
